Information for Authors

Authors are invited to submit technical papers for presentation at the MarCaS workshop during the LCN Conference dates. The exact schedule for the workshop is expected to be released in July. Like the main conference, the workshop will be held on-site, face-to-face; there will be no hybrid option.

MarCaS adheres to the LCN submission guidelines, per the following paragraphs.

Submissions should describe original, previously unpublished work, not currently under review by another conference, workshop, or journal. Paper submissions may be up to six (6) camera-ready pages, 10 pt font in two-column IEEE format.

The MARCAS workshop will employ a double-blind review process. Double-blind reviews refer to the fact that neither author(s) know the name of the reviewers of their paper nor reviewers know the name(s) of the author(s) of a paper. It is important to note that the program committee chairs know the identity of both reviewers and authors, which allows chairs to identify potential conflict of interests and intervene, if necessary.

Authors must make a good faith effort to anonymize their submissions, and they should not identify themselves either explicitly or implicitly. In particular, authors must comply with the following guidelines:

  • Names and affiliations need to be removed from the paper.
  • References to funding and acknowledgments need to be removed.
  • Prior work needs to be referenced as if it was written by a third party. Redactions such as "reference removed for blind review" should be avoided.
  • Identifying names in supplemental material should be removed.

Blinding is not intended to create a great burden. If blinding your paper seems too cumbersome, please contact the workshop co-chairs to discuss your specific situation.

It is acceptable if authors release their paper in non-peer-reviewed outlets (such as a technical report by their institution or a preprint in arXiv). At the same time, TPC members and other reviewers will be advised not to actively attempt to deanonymize papers.

Accepted IEEE LCN 2023 workshop papers will be included in the conference proceedings published in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library, showing their affiliation with IEEE LCN.
